Hello, and welcome to ML Music Studio.

With nearly 25 years of experience in music education, I have had the pleasure of working with students of all ages, from primary school children to adults. My teaching philosophy revolves around helping students achieve their personal goals, whether it's preparing for performances, exams, or simply nurturing a lifelong love for music.

I began my formal music education at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School on piano, cello, and voice. Under the guidance of esteemed teachers in the industry, I honed my skills and developed a deep passion for music. During my years at VCASS, I engaged in a comprehensive curriculum that included choir, musicianship/theory classes, various ensembles, performance practice, VCE Music Solo Performance, VCE Music Group Performance, and VCE Music History & Styles.

After graduating from VCASS I furthered my studies at Melbourne University, earning both a Bachelor of Music and a Masters of Music Studies. My electives focused on areas of music pedagogy, music techniques, world music, teaching contemporary music, composition, music history, choir, performance, and conducting.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of performing at renowned venues such as Malthouse, Melbourne Town Hall, Melbourne Concert Hall, The Edge in Federation Square, Melba Hall at the University of Melbourne, Chapel off Chapel, and the Channel 7 Studio, just to name a few.

I am a firm believer in building well-rounded musicians. My teaching approach emphasises the importance of hard work, persistence, self-belief, and goal setting. I strive to create an encouraging and supportive environment where each student can thrive and reach their full potential.
